We are a friendly and enthusiastic group of postcard collectors who meet monthly throughout the year (except August) in Our Lady & St. Edward Church Hall, Marlborough Drive, Fulwood, Preston PR2 9UE. We also hold 4 successful Postcard & Ephemera Fairs a year. These are held in Barton Village Hall, Barton, Preston PR3 5AA. (Please see our ‘Meetings‘ & ‘Fair Dates‘ pages for more information).
Meetings are entertaining for their content and also for prompting good-humoured banter and lively conversation. Each month we either have an interesting speaker or hold a “member’s interest” meeting. We also hold a Postcard A1 & A4 Postcard Board Competition where members display their interests; with the winners receiving monetary prizes and trophies.
Members have a variety of interests. It is possible to create a collection of almost every known subject. Many members collect the geographical (Topographical) area where they were born or currently live. Others have thematic (Subject) collections which can include e.g. transport, comic, glamour, military, cats, coalmines or cards by specific artists or publishers.
Not all members are able to attend monthly meetings but are kept up to date via monthly newsletters sent to them via email. These newsletters contain updates on speakers booked and other club activities planned along with dates of monthly meetings and fairs.
Membership is paid annually in January. The cost is £10 for a single membership or £15.00 for a couple, living at the same address.
Whether you are new to the hobby, an established collector, or just simply want to find out what postcard collecting is all about just pop along to a meeting. Guests and visitors will always be made welcome.

2025 will be the 40th Anniversary of Red Rose Postcard Club and we are looking forward to celebrations throughout the year.
